Prestige is a small consultancy business managed by Dr Paul Carter - a qualified food microbiologist with previous experience gained from over 20 years experience working in the dairy, poultry processing, confectionery and chocolate manufacturing industries.

His academic career took him to Belfast to research Listeria at the time of the major Listeria food scares in the 1980s. He then worked his way through various quality and technical management positions within the industry before finally establishing Prestige Technical Consultancy Ltd.

Paul is a qualified Lead Assessor / Auditor (IRCA), has achieved HACCP (RIPHH), Food Hygiene (CIEH) and Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH) qualifications and is a member of The Society of Food Hygiene Technology.

The increasing demands being placed on manufacturers in today's food industry can stretch resources to the limit. To assist manufacturers, Prestige can supplement your existing resource to 'get the job done' by providing an extensive range of technical services as and when required by clients - generally smaller family owned businesses in the UK.

Prestige has experience in the baking, dairy, cheese, poultry processing, chocolate confectionery, sugar confectionery and chocolate manufacturing industries in addition to food packaging and storage and distribution operations. We have significant experience of working with manufacturers in Europe where supplier approval audits can be conducted to provide real 'due diligence' for clients.

We provide guidance for clients to achieve the BRC Global Food Standard and can assist clients during major customer audits and inspections from Trading Standards and Environmental Health Officers.
